前日新救赎团契颜福清牧师证道，他提起丘少华牧师送他一本小型圣经，他在八年时间读了二百多遍，非常蒙恩，引导他在属灵的灵程上成长。圣经像金矿：努力开采，可获得里面宝藏。如要得更多的益处，不能片断翻阅，这样读法很难吸收更多属灵的知识。
阅读圣经的方法，必须要有两本圣经，有一本作为灵修研究之用。
a) 每天读新约二章，20个礼拜读完新约一遍。
b) 每天读三章旧约，主日读五章，一年读完旧约一遍。
还有一个读法：每日读旧约二章，新约一章，诗篇五篇，箴言一章，一年读完全本圣经。
圣经有多少？
旧约39卷，929章，23214节 。
新约27卷，260章，7959节。
合共66卷，1189章，31173节。
请记得圣经是灵性长进所需要的粮食（耶利米书十五章16节）。鱼在缸内，不能没有水，信徒的情形也是这样,请出席每拜一晚六时半之圣经操,七时半研经时间领取宝藏，享有身心灵健康的福气。

Dear fellow believers and friends
Peace to you.
Last Sunday, in his message, Rev Ngan Cheng Hock of the “New Redeemer Fellowship” shared that while he was serving his sentence, Rev Khoo Siaw Hua gave him a little bible. In the 8 years imprisonment, he has read through the Bible 200 times and was richly blessed especially in his spiritual walk with God. The Bible is like a gold mine: you need to work hard in order to extract the previous metal within. To retrieve the benefits from the Bible, you cannot read the Bible paragraphs by paragraphs as this is rather difficult to attain a spiritual understanding of the scriptures.
The best method is to have two Bibles, one for quiet time devotion.
a) Read two chapters of the New Testament, in 20 weeks time you would have finished the New Testament.
b) Read three chapters of the Old Testament, Sundays five chapters, you would have finished the Old Testament by the end of the year.
Another method is to read two chapters of the Old Testament, 1 chapter from the New Testament, 5 Psalms and 1 chapter from the Book of Proverbs, in a year’s time you would finish reading the whole Bible.
The Bible consists of:
Old Testament – 39 epistles, 929 chapters, 23,214 verses
New Testament – 27 epistles, 260 chapters, 7,959 verses
In Total - 66 epistles, 1,189 chapters, 31,173 verses
Do remember that the Bible is the food necessary for spiritual growth (Jeremiah 15:16). It is like fish needs water to survive in the fish tank. Please participate Monday’s 6.30 pm fellowship, 7.30pm Bible study time to search for the precious gems and experience the blessing both physically and spiritually.
