一周前的进修会主题定为「小组与教会增长」。六月十四日周刊刊登「小组的精神」,内容如下：
小组的精神（来十：24）
小组的精神胜过一切技巧
小组的精神胜过一切困难
三点说明：
1)「顺服主是小组最重要的精神.」
当将所学习一切的教训实行出来.
2) 归纳为二项:第一尽心尽力的爱神,
第二是当爱人如己。
3) 活出门徒的生活，在日常生活中
彼此相顾，激发善行
今日继续分享小组的功用
帮助组员灵命长进。使组员赏到相交的温暖。
使组员经历神的爱。提供服事的机会。
加强基础操练。不断训练属灵领袖。
增进团契连系力。团契拓展速度增加。
有效地栽培决志者。照顾到契友个别的需要。
生活见证活泼有力。
盼望教会有小组之外，还需要设立其他团契，诸如青年团契，成年团契，青成团契，青松团契,还有关怀中国移民事工等。
教会的七人振兴小组，再加上各团契的二位负责人，在主日崇拜及小组之外，安排一些更灵活的聚会，引领亲友参加，同得属灵的福气，过一个更美满的家庭生活。

Dear fellow believers and friends
The theme for last week retreat was “Cell Groups and Church growth”. In the bulletin on 14 June 2009, the Cell Group Discussion was on:
The Spirit of Cell Group (Hebrew 10:24)
The Spirit of Cell Group superseded all skills
The Spirit of Cell Group superseded all problems.
3 pointers to note are:
1) Obedient to the Lord is the spirit of Cell group – To display all that was learned to actions.
2) 2 aspects – 1) Love the Lord with your heart and soul; 2) Love your neighbours as self.
3) In your daily life, to live out as disciple of Christ, continued to care and do good.
Today, I will continue to focus of Cell Groups:
To help in members to grow spiritually, to experience the closeness of fellowship
To help members to experience God, an opportunity to serve
Established fundamental teaching, to build up spiritual leaders
Promote fellowship thus increase in numbers
Effective trained and also to look into members needs
A strong and lively testimony.
I hope that there will be cell groups, and other fellowships such as Youth Fellowship, Adult and Young Adult fellowship and Chinese Immigration Fellowship.
The seven members of the church and members of cell groups will arrange activities so as to invite friends and relatives to participate and receive the blessing and have a blissful family.
This Sunday will be Baptism and Communion Sunday.
